Meet The Partners
Neil Robson B.Sc., C.A.Neil trained with an Edinburgh firm of chartered accountants and after qualifying spent two years with the internal audit department of the USA's largest insurance group AIG, working in countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean. On returning to the UK, Neil was financial accountant for Apricot Computers in Glenrothes and then project accountant at RGC Offshore in Methil, where he worked on the installation of a new accounting system before joining Paterson Boyd & Co C.A.in 1993 and becoming a partner in 1995.
Neil has a varied portfolio of clients and within the firm is the partner responsible for personnel matters and IT issues.

Neil Paterson B.A., C.A.
Born and brought up in Leven, Neil trained with an international accounting firm in Edinburgh and then went on to be an audit manager with Deloitte Haskins & Sells in Edinburgh, where he was in charge of large multi-national assignments.
Neil joined Paterson Boyd & Co C.A. in 1989 as a partner in the Leven office and he now has client responsibilities in both Leven and Glenrothes.
Neil is both our audit compliance partner and money laundering officer and has a wide range of clients covering all business sectors. He has a special interest in the construction and hotel industries and represents major clients in these sectors.
Away from the office Neil is interested in all sports and is a member of Lundin, Leven Thistle and Ladybank Golf Clubs.

Sheila Boardman M.A., F.C.A.
Sheila trained with Deloitte Haskins & Sells in Edinburgh and worked as accountant-in-charge on a portfolio of major international clients. She qualified as a chartered accountant in 1988 and moved to Paterson Boyd & Co C.A. in 1989 working as personal assistant to the partners and working on a wide range of clients.
After a career break to have her two daughters and a few years working in industry as a financial controller with an Aberdeen based company, Sheila returned to Paterson Boyd & Co C.A. in 1997 and became a partner in April 2002.
Sheila has a wide client base in various industries and operates from both our Leven and Glenrothes offices. Her particular areas of expertise are in the installation of accounting software and accounting systems, charity audit and accounting and capital allowances tax reviews. Sheila's experience in combining work and family gives her a particular understanding of the challenges facing women in business.
